Ho Hum Monday

Today has been really boring.

I want to share something completely fascinating with you all, but I’m afraid that I don’t have anything. Sorry about that.

I started off my day with coffee and Trader Joe’s O’s. Then I sat around, reliving 2001-2002 with Maya via LiveJournal posts from when I was 19 and she was 20. I was reminded of something that I had forgotten as of late:

I was a really embarrassing 19 year old.

I thought I was funny; I wasn’t.

I said things I thought were smart; they weren’t.

I’m going to be 29 in May.

I guess some things don’t change.

Anyway, I sat around way longer than I intended to. I finally looked at the clock and realized it was 12:45pm. How did that happen? I took a super fast shower and started walking downtown towards my sister’s place of employment. You see, she got a Literati, Sharper Image’s version of an e-reader, for Christmas. Unfortunately, it needed a system update and hotspot wireless doesn’t work for that…she needed a secure connection. She doesn’t have wireless internet at home, so I offered to come get it and update the software for her.

Then I went to work. I was late. Really late. Oops.

Don’t think poorly of me–they overlap the managerial shifts. No one had to stay late due to my tardiness.

There was only one awesome thing about work.

Someone sent the owner’s wife a box of Harry and David pears. She, however, is in Hawaii and so the staff got to eat them. I placed them in our fruit bowl with the lemons from the marketing director’s lemon tree.

Except for….

These two are mine.

Good night, interwebz. More interesting things tomorrow.

Or else we will relive 2002.

What happened during your Monday? Boring routine? Excitement? Let me live vicariously through you!

  1. I love reliving the past! I have an embarrassing amount of boxes with memories inside of them shoved in my attic ๐Ÿ™‚

Ha Ha! I had a livejournal too. I go back to read it sometimes and pretty much roll my eyes the whole time at how dumb I was.
